Course Description

Covers specialized topics in financial reporting, including accounting for not-for-profit organizations, leases, benefit plans, and corporate income taxes.

Requirements

• Should have an MBA or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in the area of financial accounting
• Must demonstrate recent professional experience in accounting (including evidence of recently undertaken professional development in the area of IFRS) and have extensive knowledge of financial reporting; including not-for-profit accounting, leases, pensions and future taxes
• Knowledge of both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE) is required
• Must also have teaching experience, preferably in this area
• Must have a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA)
